Welcome to Smyser Christian Church

The Mission of Smyser Christian Church

At Smyser Christian Church, we have a passion for spreading the Gospel to everyone, regardless of your age, ethnicity, or background. People looking for encouragement and spiritual support can find a home in our church body. We seek to spread the love of Christ through sound theology, brotherly and sisterly encouragement, and also by regularly making an impact on our community through outreaches like working together with our local Cape Coral handyman, hosting soccer camps, going on camping trips, and running Bible studies. We place particular emphasis on our community outreaches. There are countless verses in the Bible about the importance of helping disenfranchised, downtrodden people. Whether they be orphans, widows, or people living in poverty, Smyser Christian Church is committed to consistently making a noticeable impact on the people of our community. We are determined to let our light shine among the people living around us so that they may see our good works and glorify the LORD Jesus Christ.

Our Service Schedule

We have church services three times per week on every Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening. On Sunday morning we have our Sunday school at 9:00 and then another service at 11:00. Our Sunday evening service is at 5:00. And our Wednesday evening service is at 7:00. In addition to weekly services, we also host a food pantry at our church building every Saturday. People from all over our local community stop by the church to pick up groceries from our pantry. We use this as an opportunity to share the Gospel with the people in our city, while also meeting their pressing needs. We have three of these services at 9:00, 11:00, and 1:00 every Saturday. Babies and infants can be taken to the nursery. Additionally, during Sunday school, children in elementary school, junior high, and high school can go to their own classes.

Yearly Events

We at Smyser Christian Church make it a priority to plan events that strengthen the unity of our church body. Throughout the year, church attendees can expect to have a plethora of ways to better connect with fellow Christians, whether they attend Smyser Christian Church or another church in the area.

One of the favorite events of the year is our church picnic. Each year, we meet in a local park and enjoy fellowshipping over food and activities. People are encouraged to bring their own food and snacks and to share with everyone else who attends. We enjoy playing a variety of outdoor games including corn hole, soccer, frisbee, football, and many others.

We also have a yearly men’s camping trip. For three days, a group of men from the church kayak down a river. They bring supplies and camp alongside the river for two nights. It’s a great time of fellowship, allowing our men to get to know one another better and learn how to better bear one another’s burdens.

We also have many events throughout the year for the women. We host women’s Bible studies and retreats. These are excellent opportunities for the women to support one another and enjoy some time away.

Church Van

We want to make our church assembly as accessible as possible for the people in our community. If for some reason you can not walk or drive to church, we would be more than happy to pick you up in our church van and drive you to church. We make regular stops at a number of different places throughout our town. Just call us, send us an email, or reach out using our contact form to request that we stop by your location. We look forward to meeting you!

Devotional Materials

It’s important that we as Christians make it a priority to study the Bible and follow the teachings of God’s Word at home as well as at church. Too many people have made a habit of only thinking about their religion when at church. Once they get home, they shut off until the next time they are at church. We at Smyser Christian Church have created devotional booklets that you can use to make it easier to stay i the word throughout the week. If you are interested in obtaining one of these resources, please ask one of our staff members. They would be more than happy to help you out.
